We design and deliver essential services in regional and underserved communities across New South Wales. From employment-focused hospitality to transport and aged care, we turn local challenges into bold, community-led solutions. We work with people and for people, especially those left behind by traditional systems, to create meaningful jobs, purpose, and connection.
Wilba is currently developing two new community programs in partnership with Macquarie University. The Senior University project is a structured multilingual learning and social program for older adults in Sydney, modelled on the Nagano Senior University in Japan and designed particularly for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. The Social Innovation Space project is exploring the feasibility of a community-led hub in Sydney inspired by the French tiers-lieux movement, combining social enterprise, creative space, and community connection. Both projects are in the scoping and consultation phase with Macquarie University PACE research teams.
An independent, non-partisan human rights documentation project based at the Macquarie University Incubator in Sydney. Human Rights Reporters monitors human rights conditions in Australia, investigates cases where governments have failed to meet their obligations under international human rights law, and reports findings publicly in support of accountability and the rule of law. Our first investigation examines housing stress among young adults in Sydney as a human rights issue.
